Experiment

I'm going to try to briefly unblock comments and see if I get any legitimate ones before the spambots overwhelm me.

I am not a spambot!

Me neither... :)

I don`t think I am , either :-)

I know none of you are! However, between Karl's and Elizabeth's posts I did get one (just one?!) comment to an entry from July last year which was realy there to place a link offering pornography allegedly featuring illegally young "models".

So now that we've established that you are here - comment away!

I love the photos of Aidie and Abby !
May God grant you all many years :-)
Asking your prayers as my youngest daughter *finally* gets to be baptised into Holy orthodoxy on Sat 12 June, Glory to God.

Elizabeth,

I had to delete 10 adverts for bad credit card debt before I got to your comments. The spambots are back!

However, it is because of comments like yours that I will perservere a bit longer. We will be praying for your daughter, and giving thanks that she is being received into the Church.

Hi David
Thank you :-)
Why are the spambots attacking you ? Do any of the other Orthodox bloggers have this
problem ?

I think spambots are a problem for any blog that uses it's own commenting system, such as Movable Type. For blogs using Blogger with imported comment software, it isn't an issue.

It's nothing to do with being an Orthoblog. They just look for anywhere to land and drop in a link. Helps with the search engine positioning, mostly.

I haven't has as much of a problem as I feared. I've only had to clear out four or five spam posts since I posted the comment above. They seem to come in chunks.
