Bubby at Large

Missing: young flop-eared rabbit - tortoise (dark brown/orange mixed) coat - if she wanders into your garden, please return to...

I can print five of those to a page.

Bubby has escaped from her hutch and headed off to parts unknown. It happened sometime in the wee hours. We haven't explained to Aidie that she is probably not coming back.

I will pray for Bubby. When I had a real job one of the girls in the office was constantly worried about her kids' bunnies and every Monday had a gruesome tale to tell of chasing them along the side of the dual carriageway or whatever. Finally she took them to the animal sanctuary and traded them in for a dog.

Since my cat died earlier this year, stories like this break my heart. Even the BBC report on HM dog left me feeling oddly connected to and sympathetic for her.

In this case it helps that my nickname is Wabbit :-)

My prayers for you and your, in this distress, and for a Joyful Feast!

Aidie and I went door to door tonight, pushing the notices through letter boxes. He kept calling out "Bubby! Bubby!" He wasn't actually calling out for Bubby, because for some reason he thinks Bubby has gone to visit Elijah, my parents' cat. How Bubby would actually get to Texas is something he doesn't even consider.

I don't want to be of little faith, but I am already contemplating Bubby's replacement. Mrs H wants me to put posters on the lamp posts. I find this a bit surprising, as she didn't really even like Bubby, due to eaten furniture, severed phone chords, and enduring scars.
