Promoting What?
Somehow I doubt that this piece I received from a friend by e-mail is apocryphal. It just sounds to good not to be true:
On TV the other day a reporter was interviewing the Alabama judge who
refused to take down the ten commandments from the courthouse grounds.
"You're promoting the Christian religion," she said. "Would you allow a
Torah to be on display here?"
Never forget, this IS Alabama, land of the free, home of the stupid....where the governor on September 12 the be trying to push through a $130 million dollar tax hike, the school boards are basing their budgets on it today while only ~30% of the voters are in favor of it AND the governor promised no tax hikes AND the governor says he is supporting the judge who wanted the monument kept in the courthouse. oy oy oy.
